SP250 Boot Hinges Gasket
Re: SP250 Boot Hinges Gasket
A "stubby" 3/8 in. drive ratchet, a short extension, a deep well socket, and a universal joint come in very handy here. (disconnect bat.)

Re: SP250 Boot Hinges Gasket
I have used both a small 1/4 drive ratchet and a full size 1/2 drive ratchet for the boot hinge bolts. For the bonnet hinges the 1/4 drive ratchet is for the driver's side. You can reach under the dash and feel for the nut without the need for any gymnastics. For the passenger side I have modified/reinforced the glove box with a light aluminium angle and fixed it with long self tapping screws from the front of the dashboard. To get at the bonnet hinge it is then just matter of removing the glove box and a very easy way in through the glove box "door". You can also reach the windscreen bolts the same way.
