YPK 440H Daimler v8 250

Post by Marcus »

Hello fellow Daimler loons.
I felt sorry for the above V8 which was for sale on EBay. It’s been off the road for a long time, last taxed 1981.
Not particularly keen on the colour but it looks quite solid underneath and not messed about with.
The V5 dates it to be Aug 1969 which must place it right at the end of production.
I’m tempted to clear coat it and leave the patina showing, or put another way, save a lot of money shelling out on a paint job!
Car has a DLOC sticker in it so someone may recognise it. Can anyone tell me when production finally ceased? I don’t have any decent pics other than one loaded but will share more in due course.
Cheers

Or it that too rude to ask!

I was thinking just the same question Graham. More to the point, where do you keep them all.

I’ve stopped counting... but it has to be in the region of 50.
Don’t tell anyone!
I have the luxury of 3 large barns.
I’m hoping this v8 will return to the road quickly. It’s booked in for the safety items to be overhauled. The rest will get done as and when.
