Mazak exterior trim

Post by MVV »

Hi Lads
Have any of you guys ever tried to find the manufacturer of the mazak exterior trim parts and specificaly the rear fluted reversing light plinth on the boot. The price from our usual suppliers is astronomical. Surely with a bit of insider knowledge , research and a number of us placing a bulk order we might be able to drastically reduce the cost to us the end users. I did search google last night but came up with nothing. By the way and I am in no way connected to this company Bresco.com , but I saved 20 quid over our usual suppliers ,when ordering a complete set of fasteners for the exterior chrome trim on my 250 Saloon .
Regards
Kieran

I believe that these sort of items are manufactured by Ashwater http://www.ashwater-classics.co.uk/catalogue.pdf
I've never actually used this company myself , so I can't confirm if they do supply outside the trade.

They are made by Ashwater. They tend to sell to businesses like David Manners.
The cost reflects to fact that now they tend to make in brass.
If there is sufficient interest the DLOC may be able to place an order.
I believe from experience of Ashwater foundry minimums tend to be 10.
It might also depend on who paid for the tooling.

I will phone them today and check out the possibility and hopefully get an indication of cost.
If it is possible you can make a new post.

I see on their website that they make replacement indicator stalks for the V8-250.

My switch is ok as is the black thingy on the end but the stalk is corroded - any chance of asking about these too?

Oh, I should say, I'm not a member (yet)
