Stator tube
Stator tube
Hi, today I removed the adjustable steering wheel from my SP but when I removed the horn/indicator switch I found that the stator tube was broken about 6” from the top leaving the rest inside the steering column , can new stator tubes be obtained or is there a way of repairing the broken one.Regards , Terry.

Re: Stator tube
Hi Terry. Are you sure it is broken. You may already know this but, the long tube stays in situ when the steering wheel is removed and the short tube comes off with the horn assembly. The short one slides over the long one allowing for the adjustment.
Sorry if i am teaching granny etc.

I bought mine from revington tr. Revingtontr.com The length is just right but I had to make the slot for the top piece of tube to slide in rather longer.
