Pushrod lengths

Post by Tennant »

One of my exhaust Pushrods has broken the lip on the ball cup.
I have a set from an old engine but notice that the length is about 1,5 mm longer, also the cups are a bit thicker and more substantial.
Does anyone know why and when this was changed?

Maybe your spare pushrods are from a saloon motor.
I believe Jaguar changed quite a few things for increased strength (i.e. heavier) on the motors that went into Mk2 . Pistons were heavier as well
