I need to smarten up the painted spoked wheels on my V8 250 saloon too, so I've been hoping someone might have replied.

I have used Chrome spray paint followed by a coat of clear lacquer with some success on small interior parts of my Daimler 15 sports saloon that needed brightening up, but nothing approaching the size of road wheels.
Best wishes, Dave B

Why not have them blasted and powder coated?
You will probably never need to paint them again.

Agree with Ian. Had this done and they look great.
