To show a photo or image in a post or reply, open a New Topic or Reply window, click Attachments below left of the post window , then click Add files which will open your computer's file list, highlight a file (preferably in a .jpg, .jpeg, .bmp or .gif format), click Open at the bottom of the window, wait for it to upload and it should show the filename in the original post page, put the cursor in the post where you want the photo and click Place inline which will add the filename inside [ attachment] [ /attachment] code. You can Add files several times, max 4 per post. Then Submit the post. You don't need to use [ URL] [ /URL] or [ IMG] [ /IMG] tags .

This method relates to Windows computers, but the words may be different on Apple computers, iPads or iPhones.

If the upload shows a message that the image is too large, it may be size in pixels or file size in KiB (2 MB or 2000 KiB at 01/09/2020). Size in px is unlimited at but 800 x 600 px is quite sufficient for a website. Most computers have image software that can resize images and save with a .jpg or a .jpeg extension. Windows computers have "Paint" (search for mspaint.exe or paint.exe or Paint if you can't find the program).

Thank you for the offer but I have received 4.
I also discovered the eason for the failure was 3 bent rocker shafts.

I'm still trying to fathom out the reason for bent shafts. Anybody have any ideas?
Richard

Good Afternoon, Richard.

With regards the bent rocker shafts problem, I would say that they could only be bent due to incorrect fitment when replacing the heads.
It is very easy and common to see that the location dowels are misaligned when fitting the rocker shafts. These dowels can “dig” in to either the rocker pedestal or cylinder head causing damage to both or either. This would create a huge out of alignment situation and it would be quite easy to bend the hollow rocker shaft.
Evidence of this situation should be visible on the cylinder head or rocker pedestal.

It is also possible to bend the shaft when removing the rocker assemblies as they can be very tight on the cylinder head and it is tempting to use a long bar to lever them off causing the damage.

Further to that, it is also possible a PO may have attempted to "drift" the rocker shafts out rather than removing the whole assembly in the correct sequence. Such attempts at drifting can cause significant damage to either the shaft(s) and / or the actual pedestals.

I doubt they could ever bend in service, more likely to be an outside influence and I certainly cannot see the previous con-rod failure contributing to this problem.

Hopefully, the above is of assistance and offers a viable explanation.

Best wishes.

Richard.
