Missing one handbrake pad L/H for SP250

Post by BruceC »

Hi, I’m trying to get a Dart back on the road after 20 years in a shed, and have just looked into the non-functioning handbrake. It was quick to diagnose as there are only 3 pads!
I wonder if anyone has a spare handbrake pad (Left hand e.g. item 78 on page 56 of of the 1960 spares catalogue) that I could buy? Condition not too important as I will have to get them all relined anyway.
Many thanks,
Bruce

Try Barry Thorne. If no joy there contact Laurence Jones, I believe he had some made up for the club.
Colin,
I may be slow but I’m rough as well !

I have one. Some surface corrosion but thread and locating pin are sound. No lining.

Many thanks to Nick, his pad solved my problem.
All the linings fell off the other 3 so I took the 4 pads to Industrial Friction in Cardiff who turned them around in a day!
