Re: What model was GBO 49 ?
If it was around 1953, you can cut it down to DB18 , DJ252 or if it was a larger car DE/ DH.
The 15 was pre war, and the V8’s and Sovereign’s hadn’t yet joined the family.

Re: What model was GBO 49 ?
According to my books Daimlers made around 1953 were:
DB18 Consort (1950 - 1953)
DB18 Sports Special (1949 - 1953)
DE36 (1946 - 1953)
Regency (1952 - 1954)
Conquest (1953 - 1956)

Re: What model was GBO 49 ?
Evan, the DVLA does not recognise that number, which is a Cardiff registration. Not sure when it would have been registered but a good guess would be in the early 50's. But it seems that the car will sadly have been exported or at worst scrapped bcecause if the number had been transferred and the car reregistered it would still appear on the DVLA records but on a different car. Re: What model was GBO 49 ?
Syd - GBO was indeed Cardiff. August 1951 - November 1952. GBO 49 being an early number in the series, probably August or September 1951.

Yes Chris back in the early 50's my friend had an early Hillman Minx convertible with GBO registration hence my guess. Syd
