Engine casting number identification

Post by grahamemmett »

I have a contact from the Facebook page who has an engine and gearbox for sale - but the only identification is the casting number on the engine. This is P134327A and I suspect it's a Conquest. CAn anybody confirm this for me please?
Thanks

Hi Graham,

Casting numbers can be very misleading - as they rarely relate or cross-refer to actual vehicle manufacturers parts numbers, given that are more often as not batch and date codes etc.

Surely by far the simplest approach would be a photograph of the engine and gearbox so we can all have a gorp at them?

Stan.
