Briggs door card removal

Post by mikemillen »

Thanks to Vulgalour I know exactly how to remove and replace the door cards on a Barker-bodied LD10... however I have no idea how to do it on my Briggs.

Can someone enlighten me please?
Do I need to remove the screws in the door edge?
I realise I must remove the pull handle, the door lock handle and the window winder, but once they're off, what is left holding the panel?

Knowing that the wood is 74 years old and probably not too strong I don't want to be trying to lever it off as I would on a modern car if it isn't clipped onto the door.

Thanks,
Mike

yes and the window surround

there maybe additional screws if someone in the past has damaged the aforementioned retaining method as in the last photo you can see screws in the carpet section on the outside edge
