LA10 engine bay colours

Post by lilykill »

Looking to identify some of the small colour details a 1933 LA10 engine bay if anyone knows roughly what the colours were from the factory

The 'OIL' debossed lettering on the rocker filler flap I have seen both unpainted and painted red, which is right?

The oil filter, the instuction book says its a AC oil filter which would be a blue/navy colour, is that correct?

The metal sheet that lines the front of the bulk head and the storage boxs I have seen in both black and self coloured, which is right?

Hi Daniel, not sure about the colour of the Rocker Cover , but the original AC Oil Filters were usually Black, and as far as I am aware , the Bulkhead would have usually have been painted semi gloss / Silk Black.
I purchased an Adaptor plate, which allows one to use a “Spin On” Oil filter 👍
Cheers Al
