Wanted: LD10 engine

Post by mikemillen »

Does anyone have an LD10 engine or any good engine parts that they'd consider selling?

The block and bottom end of my engine is in a bad way and will be horrendously expensive to bring back to perfect condition, so I'm hoping to find another, either to use as-is or as a donor to rebuild mine without breaking the bank.

Thanks,
Mike

Have you seen the “Daimler ? Engine “ listed on ebay?
It’s £250 and I. Evesham.

Thanks, Marcel.

I hadn't seen it, and it does look like an LD10 engine, other than the strange casting between the rocker cover and the carburettor.

Was that a later fitting to the LD10 or has it been added, do you think?

Mike

I’m not sure of the variations in LD10 engines but it looks a good source of parts for someone.
I think it’s been on ebay for a while so they might take a lower price.

Definitely an afterthought as the Carb does not look standard if it is an LD10 engine :?:

I'm told it's the export version that includes an oil-bath air cleaner in place of the simple silencer.
